Drawings and painting courses with models in Gorizia (Italy)

The courses take place in the beautiful park of the Villa Folli Farfalle with views to the country house. Under the direction and encouragement of Maestro Paolo Cervi Kervischer, participants will have the opportunity of developing their own artistic style, inspired by the stunning view of Gorizia while working under blooming trees at the foot of the Castle. Assistance is given with the booking of accommodation.

Programme:
Following topics are included in the programme:

•    Drawing and painting of the nude – structure and colour
•    Colour exploration – from experience and observation of reality - with acrylics, earth and oxyd colours.
•    Impressionistic painting “en plein air” in oil

Participants are free to paint around the clock in the park as well as inside the villa. Instruction with the maestro is supported by the presence of a model for three hours per day (morning and afternoon sessions).

During the evening discussions about contemporary art take place, often in the company of cultural representatives. Themes include: Who is considered an artist today? Why still paint? The significance of training for the artist. New artistic expressions such as video, performance art, environment art, body art, photography etc.

Each participant to bring own materials (paints, brushes and easel). A complete list of required materials will be emailed to participants upon registration. Additional materials will be provided.

At the end of each course there will be an exhibition of the works created which is open to the public. Each participant will receive a certificate.  There is the opportunity of using the kitchen in the villa for preparing meals, either as a group, or individually. For those who wish to stay in the vicinity, there are B&B guesthouses nearby, which can be booked for you (prices starting from 32€).
